Living Outrageously with MS
My Story
Living with Multiple Sclerosis is not something I asked for. My journey with this disease started almost 40 years ago, so I have lived most of my adult life with it. But it is something I have chosen to live with — fully, boldly, and on my own terms. Believe me, MS has tried to slow me down. And if I am honest, it has stopped me at times and made me realize that the only way life would work is if I changed the way I looked at my diagnosis and my attitude towards it.
I have traveled solo, created art, built a coaching practice, and shown up for my life every single day — not in spite of MS, but alongside it. If you think I am some type of cheerleader who is an "I can do anything with MS" person then you have missed the point.
I will never discount the times I spent in a wheelchair or the injections I took, or the people I lost to the horrific nature of this disease. It is not anything to take lightly. And I know I am lucky because my form of MS is mild.
But if you are someone who is living with this condition, don't throw away your life to it. Whether you are in a wheelchair, or if you are more like me, there is a way for you to embrace life as it is. Because your diagnosis is not your destination. Let me help you start your journey to that new destination.
"Your diagnosis is not your destination."
